More and more frequently you can read articles on this website where I talk about Evernote,
or where I explain how to increase the Evernote integration with OSX.
But, if you can found those useful, here there is some personal considerations and habits I’ve
daily using Evernote.
Here some stuff I found interesting or fun on the web in the last few days.
If you follow the my autoblog probably you’ve already see most of that, but here you can found some
of my personal considerations.
Sometimes can be usefull to have a directory (on your desktop, on your Finder favorites sidebar, etc.) with some kind
of automatism applied.
For example, I’ve a directory with an automatism for moving all files I put in that to another directory.
Crazy?
Try to follow my idea…
Those days I’ve fight with my wordpress+mysql installation.
Currently running on an Amazon EC2 FreeTier instance, with a really minimal setup in term of
CPU and RAM, keep running an Apache webserver plus a MySQL database can be really tedious.
Sometimes MySQL literally ‘die’ without any visible explanation on the system. I think there
is an automatic job on the EC2 instance which kill the processes when they try to saturate the
resources.
On a Mac, you have some shortcuts on Evernote to create a ‘New Note’… usually you can use the Cmd+N keyboard shortcut to create that but, unfortunately, this working only when Evernote is active.
For my personal workflow, having to selecting Evernote (or switching with Cmd+Tab combination) AND press Cmd+N is not the best way to do that…. I need a quick, one shot, way to create a new note from anywhere, without have to switch application or do other work.
